Broker Custody and Trading Software
The difference between software access, broker custody, API keys, and market risk in ZadVest broker-connected workflows.
ZadVest provides software workflows; broker-held assets remain with the user's brokerage account.
Software access is not custody
ZadVest provides software workflows for charting, screening, backtesting, and broker-connected execution. It does not hold user trading funds.
A connected broker account remains subject to the broker account agreement, broker disclosures, and applicable market rules.
Broker connection
Broker connection is a software integration. It does not make ZadVest a broker, bank, or custodian.
Broker-specific disclosures remain important because the broker is the account provider.
Market risk remains
Broker custody and market risk answer different questions. Assets can remain at a broker and still lose value because of market movement.
That distinction keeps custody statements separate from performance statements.
