Using the Pattern Scanner as a Research Tool

What a scanner does

A scanner helps search many symbols for chart conditions that may be tedious to inspect by hand. In ZadVest, the scanner is a research tool.

The output can help narrow what to inspect next. It is not a ranking of what to buy, sell, or hold.

Pattern names need humility

Classical pattern names are shorthand for visual geometry. They do not make a chart outcome certain, and different timeframes can tell different stories.

ZadVest treats pattern detection as historical and informational. Accuracy claims and future-edge wording do not fit that role.

Reading scanner context

Useful scanner review includes the chart, timeframe, liquidity, risk, sample size, and whether a pattern remains visible after changing assumptions.

A scanner result is the start of a question, not the answer to a portfolio decision.
